Representative

You will be responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals such as pharmacists, pharmacy assistants etc. Your primary objective will be to increase product awareness, drive sales, and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders at corporate and independent pharmacies.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Product Promotion: Promote pharmaceutical products to pharmacy staff by using the unique selling points of the product as well as the commercial case (where applicable)
  • Sales Target Achievement: Achieve sales targets by effectively implementing sales strategies, identifying opportunities for growth, and executing sales plans.
  • Territory Analysis: Analyse your territory to identify potential customers, competitors' activities, and market trends. Use this information to develop effective sales strategies and tactics.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders. Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including compliance with industry standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback. Provide feedback on the provided platforms on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues from various departments such as marketing, Dr Detail team representatives and sales management to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Continuing Education: Continuously develop your knowledge and skills through training programs, workshops, and self-study to stay updated on industry trends, product information, and sales techniques

Minimum Requirements

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, or business administration.

Experience:

  • Rookie representatives will be considered
  • Proven work experience as a sales representative would be an advantage

Skills/Physical Competencies:

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with CRM tools e.g. Repwise
  • Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales will be an advantage
  • Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience's needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback

General working conditions (e.g. shift work, driver’s license, specific tools, special clothing, environmental requirements, etc.):

  • May be required to work overtime

Travel:

  • The role holder will travel 90% of their time on a mixture of planned and ad-hoc business travel.
  • May be required to travel to national meetings where necessary
